James P. McEachern, Founder and President of Salem Schooner
James has been in the Financial Planning Industry for 30 years. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant degrees, and is General Securities Licensed.
Over the past 30 years Mr. McEachern has been dedicated to serving his clients financial needs. He has done this with only one objective in mind; to meet his client’s goals with totally unbiased, completely independent financial expertise.
His years of experience in working with a wide variety of business owners, professionals and families has given him the ability to provide specific insights into the different financial needs of his clients.
In addition to his business pursuits Jim is avid golfer and member of Salem Country Club. He is also on the board of several charities on the North Shore.
Kenneth C. Nagy, CFA
Ken joined the firm in 2002 and currently manages our equity portfolios. His previous
experience writing stock research reports is key to building our equity research department.
Ken’s education includes a Masters degree in Finance from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor
of Arts in Accounting from Assumption College. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and the CFA Institute. The CFA Program is a
graduate-level, self-study curriculum and examination program for investment specialists — especially
securities analysts, money managers, and investment advisors. Ken holds the 7, 63 and 65 series licenses.
In addition to his business pursuits Ken is a
member of the Red Cross North Area Council and coaches youth hockey and baseball.
Peggy Masella, Compliance & Office Coordinator
Peggy joined the firm in 1998. She has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry. As the Compliance &
Office Coordinator she is responsible for the firm's operations, accounting and marketing systems. In addition she supervises the
Brokerage Department. Peggy received her Bachelors Degree from Salem State College. She actively assists in several non-profit organizations.
Our office is located in Historic Salem behind Pickering Wharf in the Shetland Office Park. Our building is the closest to the water and we are located on the second floor.
